ROBERT K. HILLISON

With
over 40 years experience as a civil trial lawyer specializing in
commercial, business, construction, and real estate litigation, Bob
represents developers, owners, real estate brokers,
contractors, and engineers in a wide variety of disputes, including
contract disputes, construction defect and design defect cases,
matters relating to subdivision development, construction, and
environmental matters.
Bob
represents parties in disputes involving secured transactions;
parties in partnership and corporate disputes; litigants in unfair
business practices and antitrust cases; and real estate brokers in
claims of professional negligence and breach of fiduciary
duty.
Bob
received his law degree from UCLA School of Law in 1964. Bob has
been admitted to practice in the California Supreme Court (1965);
U.S. District Court, Central District of California (1965); U.S.
District Court, Southern District of California (1968); U.S.
District Court, Eastern District of California (1980); U.S. District
Court, Northern District of California (1990); and United States
Supreme Court (1976).
Bob
taught business law for two years (1976-77) at California State
University, Fresno, and has served as a panelist in the Civil Trial
Skills Seminars (1996-97) conducted by San Joaquin College of Law.
He has served as a Judge Pro Tem in the Fresno County Superior Court
and has arbitrated cases as an appointed Judicial Arbitrator. Bob is
also a member of the panel of neutrals of the American Arbitration
Association.
Bob's
professional associations include the California State Bar
Association (Litigation Section), Fresno County Bar Association
(Member, Board of Directors, 1996-97), and Association of Business
Trial Lawyers, San Joaquin Valley Chapter (President, 2000-2001;
current Board Member). Bob serves as the president of the Court
Facilities Foundation of Fresno
