Alex J. Aretakis
Associate

Alex Aretakis was
born and raised in Manteca, California. Alex earned his bachelors
degree from Oregon State Universit in Mathematics. While at Oregon
State University , Alex secured
funding for an undergraduate honors research program to conduct
researrc in the field of Organic Chemistry, the results of which
were published in the Journal of Organic Chemistry. Alex also received an
officer’s commission in the United States Army, Reserves.
Following graduation,
Alex studied Applied Mathematics as a graduate student at the
University of
California at Davis . Alex focused his research in
the visco-elastic and visco-plastic properties of elastomeric
bearings and their applications in structural engineering. Additionally, Alex performed
research in the application of mathematics to biomedical systems
with a focus on spine biomechanics. Research performed by Alex
was published in Spine, a journal of the mechanics of the spine.
While at the
University of
California at Davis , Alex
completed his training as a Military Intelligence Officer and was
responsible for training military intelligence reservists in the
fields of Couter-intelligence and Interrogations.
Alex attended law
school at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in
Sacramento,
California . He graduated in 1998. He worked for a small
insurance defense firm in Sacramento , then for the firm of
Damrell, Nelson, Schrimp, Pallios, Pacher and Silva. Alex joined Lang, Richert
& Patch in 2002 after his marriage to his wife Georgianne. In 2004, Alex became a sole
practitioner focused on business counseling and litigation, with an
emphasis on the protection of trade secrets. Alex’s practice focuses on
business litigation.
Alex is fluent in the
Greek language.
